do you know of a place where i can get free sheet music for the french horn? I would like it to be christian.?

I want to play my horn for church but i need music to practice and am hoping someone can help me. I would be playing with a guitarist so it needs to sound good with a guitar too.

Finding music for a duet between Fr. horn and guitar that is also free, is going to be very tricky.

You might just search around on the web and see what you can find, or ask your school band teacher for a recommendation.

Free $17.98 Prog metal supergroup O.S.I. return with their second album, which finds the duo of singer and keyboardist Kevin Moore and guitarist Jim Matheos moving away from the fairly standard-issue epic metal of 2003′s Office of Strategic Influence into something that sounds more like Evanescence’s gothy metal-pop crossed with late-era Radiohead’s fondness for electronic interference. Moore, formerly of Dream Theater (his ex-bandmate Mike Portnoy plays the album’s few non-electronic drums), and Fates Warning leader Matheos are venturing into relatively new territory here: Free is downright commercial in a way that none of the duo’s previous projects have been. Moore sings with a new, less aggressive voice that’s unfortunately reminiscent of any number of faceless alternative rock singers, and Matheos’ guitar is downplayed in favor of keyboards and sequencers. Even on “All Gone Now,” which has the most overtly metallic riffs on the album, the guitar is overpowered by layers of twitchy electronic cut-up rhythms and twinkling keyboards. The songs are catchy enough that it’s not unthinkable that unadventurous rock radio programmers could take a shine to the title track or “Go,” but Fates Warning and Dream Theater fans might be less impressed. Magic Christian Music $16.98 If Badfinger’s debut album Magic Christian Music sounds patchy, there’s a reason why: It was assembled from three different sources. Although the title suggests that the record is a soundtrack to The Magic Christian it isn’t. It’s a hodgepodge, containing the group’s three contributions to the film, six highlights from the band’s pre-Badfinger album Maybe Tomorrow (released when they were known as the Iveys), an alternate take from Maybe Tomorrow, and four new songs. It’s little wonder that it doesn’t hold together, winding up as a document of Badfinger’s unharnessed potential. Since their breakthrough hit “Come and Get It” was written by Paul McCartney, Badfinger was dogged by comparisons to the Beatles but they were hardly copyists. Elements of the Hollies, the Kinks, and very mild psychedelia are discernable throughout Magic Christian Music, all part of the band’s search for their own voice. Apart from the lovely pop tune “Dear Angie” and Tom Evans’ stately, yearning “Maybe Tomorrow,” the Iveys numbers aren’t particularly distinguished pop but they are, by and large, pleasant period pieces. On the newer material, Badfinger sounds stronger and their craftsmanship surfaces. Pete Ham emerges as a fine songsmith, with the convincing rocker “Midnight Sun” and the gentle “Walk Out in the Rain.” Still, the true standouts among the newer songs are “Crimson Ship” and “Carry on Till Tomorrow,” both co-written by Ham and Evans. They’re two sides of the same coin – dreamy post-psych pop tunes driven by strong hooks and harmonies. Nut Music: As Free as the Squirrels $14.95 Beefheart-style skronk, spoken-word jive poetry, free jazz improvisations, and just plain noise collide on this lone release from upstate New York weirdos Starship Beer. The best known of this trio, Kevin Whitehead, went on to be a jazz authority on NPR’s Fresh Air; here, he lets his hair down, providing bass gurgles, clarinet bleats, and howls form the darkness. Pat O’Brien’s lunatic rant “Black/White White/Black” opens the disc, followed by a dissonant and chilly solo piano piece, a silly scat and alto recorder number, and a winding piece for solo clarinet. Next, “Cavalcade of Stars” brings an almost heavy metal-sounding guitar/bass jam session to the mix, followed by a short but energetic improv session for clarinet, alto sax, and percussion called “Plumbing.” “Ghost of Owls” is an all-vocal experiment and “You Fly in My Brain Like an Airplane” returns to the spoken-word ramblings of the lead track. Then there’s the all-out aural barrage of “(At the Noise) Circus” before the wild ride ends with the somber (if eerie) “Air or Wind” and the cautionary tale “Chris the Nasty Boy,” adding organ and melodica to the guitar/bass/voice mix of the first track. Far from original or groundbreaking, Nut Music gets points for its sheer intensity and proud defiance. Unpredictable, erratic, uneven, and often annoying, Nut Music is not for the casual listener or the faint of heart.
